Eduction – Left school at 16, 1981.

No Formal art education beyond age 14, although

always been interested in the arts and idea and drew from early childhood.

Began caricaturing friends from age 18.

Began working in pastels and watercolours in 1983 and oil in 1990.

Personal Aesthetic

More interested in inner space rather than external space.

Avoidance of traditional genre painting – landscapes still life, nudes.

Early influences include Miro, Ernst and the revolutionary art of the early 20th century.

Have a keen and varied knowledge of history, especially prehistoric studies.

Recent painting years influenced by politics, science fiction of the mid 20th century and numismatics.
